Bookcover

Now I'm into stencil. The beginning was when my mother bought several colors of stamp pads for eraser stamps. Because I wasn't good at curving erasers, I changed method and tried stencil instead, which I've been familiar with for years.

(Common Kingfisher)

(Japanese Paradise Flycatcher)

One thing good about stencil is that it is easily reproduced. My mother made special sized bookcovers for field guide of birds with my stencil designs. And thanks to my friend, now they are sold at Hobby's World, which is a special shop for birdwatchers.

  2. Dear beluga,
Thank you so much for visiting my cafe show. I read your thorough and kind comment in the guestbook. I was really happy!
As for the bookcovers, I designed and cut out the stencils and it's my poor mother who actually stenciled the fabric and sewed them into bookcovers.
Thank you very much for buying!!
