Home! Sweet Home!

I have been stuck at home and working very hard these days.  But it's not too bad when I have a wonderful and a bit crazy mother to do little fun things together!  



あ、おつきさまだ。おつきさま、こんばんは。おつきさま、こんばんは。
わたしが一番はじめに暗記した絵本だった。もっとも当時は「つ」も「こ」も言えなくて、「おちちゃま、とんばんは」と言っていたらしい。
今日は月が近い。
Did you see the supermooon? Although we couldn't see the moon yesterday because of the typhoon, we had an amazing view of the big yellow round moon this evening!



A large brown cicada molting.  It looked like a fairy when it came out and stretched its transparent green wings.  
アブラゼミの幼虫が家の前を歩いていたので、招き入れ、カーテンにくっつけて羽化を観察した。



朝になると夜中の神秘的な姿はどこへやら、カーテンにはただのいつもの茶色いアブラゼミがジージージーと鳴き出す。でも気兼ねなく庭に追いだしてしまえるところが、野生の虫を観察するよいところ。



先日のアオスジアゲハの幼虫はブランコヤドリバエの仲間に寄生されていたらしく、蛆虫が顔を出した。美しいチョウが出てくると期待していたので、そのギャップによるショックはあるけれど、よく見れば、お尻に目のような黒い点がふたつついているこの虫も、ちょっとかわいいような・・・。
The common bluebottle's chrysalis became very brown much earlier that we thought it would be. 
And here it came a little yellow warm!  The caterpillar was unfortunately parasitized by a tachina fly...
It's the nature, isn't it?  




Saturn peaches, very expensive peaches which my mother had to buy and try.  It was considered to be an elixir of immortality in old China. I think I've seen these flat peaches in Italy or somewhere...but in Japan, only a few orchards produce this special variety.
母が「研究」と称して衝動買いした蟠桃。扁平で甘みと香りが強くて、水分は少ない。不老不死になる桃として、西王母が漢の武帝と食べた桃だとか。
もったいないので、久しぶりに静物画も描いてみた。休憩と称してこうしていろいろ絵を描いていると、ちっとも仕事がはかどらない。しかも絵を描く仕事の休憩に絵を描いているので、肩こりが治ったりするわけでもない！
