The most remarkable experience in Taman Negara was the overnight stay at Bumbun Yong. Bumbun is an animal watching hut, with no water nor electricity. That night, nobody except us was there in a deep jungle. The night was so dark and calm. The faint glimmer of fireflies and stars were the only lights to be seen. Pitch-darkness dwarfed my existence making me in awe of nature.
Taman Negara is the only national park in the Peninsular Malaysia. I took a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Tembeling and went up the Tembeling river by boat with engine.
Kuala Tahan, the entrance village to the national park. There are some floating restaurants and shops along the river. The picture is HAN TRAVEL's office that I offen went for advice.
