東郷まどかピアノリサイタル2018

伯母が横浜の戸塚で4月27日にピアノリサイタルを開く。「物語・絵画と音楽の出会い」として、エピソード性のある曲目を集めたようだ。



I made this leaflet for my aunt's piano recital in Totsuka, Yokohama in April.  She will play Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" so I designed it to look like a gallery.  

シューマンの蝶々（Papillons）はジャン・パウルの小説『生意気盛り』の最後にある仮面舞踏会の部分に着想を得たとされている。それに沿ってわたしが描いた12枚のイラストも、演奏中に上映される予定だ。このジャン・パウルの小説は、何とも突拍子もない記述が多く、視覚化するには吹き出すような内容ばかりで苦労した。



I also illustrated twelve scenes for twelve pieces of Schumann's "Papillons," which Schumann created inspired by the Jean Paul's novel "Flegeljahre."  They are going to be shown on the screen while Madoka plays the piano.
