Another purpose of my visit to Thailand was to take the art lesson from Aj. Kamol Komolphalin, a most renown bird leader and wildlife artist in Thailand. When I began to watch birds nine years ago, I joined Nature Trails' bird watching tour to Khao Yai and was fascinated to see him drawing birds so quickly in front of us using the scope. That was when I started to try field sketches like Aj. Kamol.
Mangosteens, cucumber, turnip and jam bean from the class to learn about light and shadow.
A kind of Bat plant (Taccaceae). Although the lesson was held inside the house, he always told me how to see the object as if in the nature and not to draw it like still-life painting.
