I've been busy printmaking for my new picture book and has not been in the mood of making any personal piece. 

Listening to some podcasts, interviewing or created by some illustrators, they all say the importance of a personal project while working on some paid ones. I used to love just sketching anything while I am out and about. But when going out with my little one, it's not always possible.

If you wonder why she is so stripy, it's because she is pretending to be a picture book character, who steals sweets from fridges.    

全身しましまファッションは、月刊こどものともの『おやつどろぼう』の主人公アカーキー（水色のしましま）とおやつどろぼうたち（黒のしましま）のつもりらしい！　どうせならと髪の毛も上のほうに２本に結んでみたが……。

でも公園では、この泥棒は真面目に自分で料理していた。

夫が「ハリガネムシが中に入っているんじゃないの？」と言うくらい、チビは水辺に吸い寄せられる。実際、少し前にチビがどうにも動かなくなった公園の水辺でカマキリを見つけ、しばらくしたら本当にハリガネムシが出て来た。

She loves ponds and strams, wherever she can play with water, poking fallen leaves and algaewith a stick.

寒くないのー？ 

Partial lunar eclipse on the 19th November. My little one drew it, too.  

11月19日の部分月蝕。一緒に見ていた母が「鈴カステラみたい！」っと。そうSNSにアップしたら同じことを思われた方がたくさんいたようでおもしろい。

Little one had never been on any kind of boat. So the last weekend of November, we visited Sarushima island, getting there by a very short ferry crossing from Yokosuka. 

乗船時間10分の猿島へ。お昼時、海を双眼鏡で眺めていたら、首は長めだけれどウよりは短く、また体も小さい黒い鳥が１羽浮かんでいた。くちばしも短い。あまりに豆粒だったけれど、コクガンだった気がする。 

キジョランの実と種をよく観察できた。
