渡良瀬遊水地の鳥

Before May ends, I should post my sketches from early May at Watarase Reservoir. I'd been there several times before but only in winter and it was my first time visiting there in Spring.  The scenery was totally different, of course, with green leaves of reed growing, and so as the bird species.  Very few winter ducks remained at the lake but we saw many reed warblers.      
ゴールデンウィークのスケッチブックから。近場で、かつ普段あまり見ない環境をと思い、渡良瀬遊水地に出かけた。



オオセッカ。鳴き声からちゃんと自分で見つけられてうれしかった。オオヨシキリの好きな環境と、オオセッカ、コヨシキリが好きなちょっと草丈の低い環境とがよくわかった気がした。
Watarase is one of the few precious habitats for Marsh Grassbird. 



コヨシキリ。せっかくならオオヨシキリもしっかりスケッチすれば良かったと思ったのだが、どうしても珍しい方に目が行ってしまうのが探鳥の常。



The noisiest at the reed bed was the Oriental Reed Warblers but there were some Black-browed Reed Warblers at some places.
And we spotted Japanese Weasels several times, too.
さえずるアオジ、キアシシギ、コチドリ、コアジサシ、キビタキなども見つけた。



美しい青色のチョウジソウ。



昼寝中をちょっとだけ。



帰り際、「あれ、こんなところにもコウノトリのデコイあったっけ。前に通った時には気付かなかったな」と思い、一応双眼鏡をのぞいたら、デコイが動いた！
どうやら野田市での放鳥個体、ひかるらしかった。アオサギなどに比べて、こんなに大きいんだ！
